McMinnville, TN –   Dottie West Music Fest organizers are pleased to announce that popular Dollywood performer and Warren County native, Naomi Morrison will perform at the Dottie West Music Fest Saturday, October 11, 2008 in downtown McMinnville.

Naomi began performing around eleven years ago in church.  Eight years ago, she entered her first vocal competition at the Smithville Fiddlers Jamboree with her father and two brothers.  Since then, Naomi has been honing her singing and songwriting skills and performing at a variety of venues.

In 2001, Naomi played Patsy Cline in the hit musical comedy, Always Patsy Cline .  A year later, she moved to Sevierville, TN to continue her career.  In 2003, Naomi auditioned for an opportunity to perform at one of Tennessee’s favorite attractions-Dollywood.  She got the job and was hired to perform with a Bluegrass band Dollywood dubbed Naomi and the Wood Brothers .

Naomi recently married the band s banjo player, Tucker McCandless.  They live in Sevierville and are enjoying their fifth year at Dollywood.

Naomi has long been a big Dottie West fan.  She wowed the crowd at the 2007 Dottie West Music Fest, and is eager to perform again this year.  She s also looking forward to seeing all the folks back home!

Naomi Morrison joins multi-talented singer-songwriters Jacky Jack White, Jim McBride, Wood Newton, Kacey Jones and Jeremy Stone in a tribute to Dottie West.
