Lake Road’s home football game against Ridgemont Thursday evening will start a little earlier than listed on the schedule.
According to LR athletic direct Regina Patterson, the Generals and Mustangs will kick-off at 5 p.m. in a game that will determine who plays South Fulton in the Oct. 9 Rebel Bowl.
LR will also honor eighth- graders at the game.
Those attending are reminded that the school’s entrance from Triple Hill Road will be blocked off.

named tops in OVC
UT Martin’s Dontrell Miller was named the Ohio Valley Conference defensive player of the week following his career performance against Murray State Saturday night.
Miller scored two defensive touchdowns to help the Skyhawks rout rival Murray State 63-38
Meanwhile, former LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux had a career day by accounting for 300 yards of total offense and three touchdowns in leading Jacksonville State to a 23-10 road victory over No. 16 Eastern Illinois on Saturday and he earned the league’s top offensive award for the week.
