James Hezzie “Jim” Brann, 64, of Jeffersonville, Ind., a former resident of the Latham community, died Sept. 28, 2008, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
Graveside services will be noon Saturday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dukedom, with Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom in charge of arrangements. Friends may call there from 10 a.m. until noon.
The family requests that memorials be made to Sarcoma Foundation of America, P.O. Box 458, Damascus, MD 20872.
He was born Sept. 13, 1944, in Latham, son of the late Carl and Adell (Rea) Brann. He was married to the former Clara Friedley, who survives, and was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He had retired from IBM and had worked in the Louisville, Ky., office.
He enjoyed travel in his motor home and was a member of Family Motor Coach Association.
He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Steve Gunter of New Canton, Va.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Travis Brann; and his brother, Lyndel Brann.
