Miss Whitt, VanCleave to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Melinda Sue Whitt of Union City and Steven Wade VanCleave of Dresden are being announced today.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Clarence and Brenda Whitt of Union City. Her grandparents are the late Rev. and Mrs. Howard Courtney, the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Moffitt and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Whitt Sr.
She is a 2003 graduate of Union City High School. She graduated in 2008 from West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah, Ky. She is attending the Tennessee Technology Center at Paris, where she is studying practical nursing.
The groom-elect is the son of Terry and Teresa VanCleave of Martin. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. E.H. “Bill” Adams, the late Albert VanCleave and Ruselline VanCleave of Martin.
He is a 2007 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin. He is employed as a quality assurance technician at Tyson Foods in Union City.
The couple will wed 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at Gardner Methodist Church in Martin. Music will begin at 3:30.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.
All family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony and reception.
