Faye Bynum Nanney, 90, of Mayfield, Ky., a former resident of the Latham community, died 7 p.m. Sept. 27, 2008, at Mills Health and Rehab Center in Mayfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial following in Rozzell Chapel Cemetery in Graves County in Kentucky.
Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
She was born April 19, 1918, in Hickman County, Ky., daughter of the late Tom and Lucy Ann (McKinney) Thompson. She was the widow of Gaylon Bynum, Tim Ainley and Homer Nanney and was a member of Calvary First United Methodist Church in Mayfield. She had been employed in the housekeeping department of the former Mayfield Community Hospital and had lived in Graves County most of her life. She had also lived in the Pryorsburg community.
Survivors include her son, Donald Bynum of Hutchinson, Kan.; her daughter, Shirley Ann Gibson of Chicago; her half sister, Peggy Simon of Tiptonville; and five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son, David Bynum; her daughter, Lois Bynum; three brothers; and her half brother.
