Miss Shepherd, Key to wed in November

  The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Kelly Nicole Shepherd of South Fulton and James “Ja” Franklin Key of Troy are being announced today.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles “Sonny” and Sue Ann Shepherd of South Fulton. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Allyne Shepherd and Peggy Holloway and the late David Holloway, all of South Fulton.

She is a 2004 graduate of South Fulton High School and is a student at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, where she is working toward a degree in business administration. She is a member of Phi Beta Lambda sorority and is employed at State Farm Insurance, Russ Hammonds Agency in Union City.

The groom-elect is the son of J.R. and Sharon Lambdin and Teresa Key and the late Frank L. Key, all of Union City. He is the grandson of Jean Calhoun, the late Floyd Calhoun, Lucille Key and the late Tom Key, all of Union City.

He is a 2001 graduate of Obion County Central High School and is a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he is working toward a degree in wildlife biology. He is a member of the Wildlife Society Chapter.

The couple will wed Nov. 15 at 5 p.m. at South Fulton Baptist Church. Music will begin at 4:30.

A reception will be held at the Pontotoc Community Center in downtown Fulton immediately following the ceremony.

All friends and family are invited to attend.
