The following news was received too late to be included on Thursday’s Religion Page.

Grace Community Church is meeting at 1215 South Home St. in Union City and is extending an invitation to the community to join them for worship. 

“We are a newly-formed body of Christian believers, committed to proclaiming and submitting to the sovereignty of God, to upholding a high view of sacred scripture and to living out the doctrines of grace as summarized in the Westminster Confession of Faith,” a spokesman said.

The Sunday schedule includes coffee, doughnuts and fellowship at 10 a.m., morning worship at 10:50 and evening praise and study at 6. On Wednesdays, there will be a study of “Dust to Glory” by R.C. Sproul at 6:45, and youth study and activities will also be at that time.

The Rev. Billy McGarity is pastor.

Harris Station United Methodist Church, located between Union City and South Fulton, will hold revival services beginning at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 and continuing at that hour through Oct. 15. The Rev. Michael Blake will be the evangelist.

A fellowship meal will be served at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 and 15.

R.K. Kane is the pastor.


A “called” revival will begin this evening at 7 and continue Saturday evening and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. at Anointed Church of the Living God at 1211 South Miles Ave. Bishop Fredrick Coburn will be the evangelist.

Bishop Barbara Bolden is inviting the community to attend.
