Completed arrangements are being announced for Eric Johnson, 39, of Clarksville, a former resident of Union City, who died Sept. 23, 2008, at Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield as the result of an automobile accident.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Exchange Street Church of Christ, with interment following in East View Cemetery. Dan Huggins will officiate and pallbearers will be Darric Johnson, Yul Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Patrick McCain and Stanley Williams.
Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday.
Rawls Funeral Home in Union City is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Sept. 8, 1969, in St. Louis, son of McKinley Johnson of Union City and the late Sherlene (McCain) Johnson. He was a graduate of Union City High School and the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he was a commissioned officer in ROTC. He had served in the Army National Guard for four years and was a member of Hilldale Church of Christ. He was a salesman.
Survivors also include his fiancée, Tracey Thomas of Clarksville; his grandmother, Estelle Jordan of St. Louis; three brothers, Darric Johnson, Yul Johnson and Ashley Johnson; his sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Dennis McBee of Smyrna; three nieces, Rae McBee of Smyrna and Marleigh Johnson and Brooklynn Johnson, both of Union City; and his nephew, Andrew McBee of Smyrna.
