Union City police are investigating the theft of two boats and trailers from Union City Marine at 206 North Second St.
About 2 p.m. Tuesday, business owner Johnny Garrett called police to report that two boats had been stolen from Union City Marine sometime between Aug. 28 and Tuesday. He said the two boats had been parked in the parking lot on the north side of the Sherwin-Williams store at 106 North First St., according to a Union City Police Department report.
The boats were last seen during inventory Aug. 28 and were noticed missing during inventory Tuesday, police reported.
The missing boats include a G3 Eagle 190 that is black and gold in color and is valued at $8,969.46 and a G3 1756 that is camouflage and is valued at $5,304.42. The trailers to both boats were also taken and are valued at $1,150 and $950, respectively, according to the report.
