All Gibson Electric Membership Corp. customers whose homes are ready for reconnection have had electric service restored, according to a Gibson EMC spokesman.

There are nine customers whose homes had damage to meter bases, requiring work to be completed by the homeowners’ electricians before electric service can be restored. GEMC will take care of these customers as soon as they are ready for reconnection.

Gibson EMC President and CEO Dan Rodamaker applauded Gibson EMC’s employees and the employees of Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corp., Pickwick Electric Cooperative and the Milan Department of Public Utilities for their expert help. He said they have all done a tremendous job.

Rodamaker also expressed appreciation for the patience and support shown by customers in the aftermath of Sunday’s high winds, which resulted in widespread damage.
