KEY CLUB RECEIVES SOYBEAN SERVICE AWARD — The Westview High School Key Club was honored with a Soybean Service Award for the club’s commitment serving as sponsor of the Tennessee Soybean Festival Talent Contest, a Mid-South Fair Preliminary Competition, for the fourth year in 2008. Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. Key Club is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Key Club exists on more than 5,000 high school campuses, primarily in the United States and Canada. Its parent organization is Kiwanis International. The announcement was made at the 15th annual Tennessee Soybean Festival Mayor’s Kickoff Luncheon. Martin Mayor Randy Brundige presented the award to Danielle Jones, Nicole Jones, Kayla Halliburton, Demetrie Kimble and Kristin McCloud, accepting on behalf of the organization. wcp 9-16-08
