Burley Haddock Jr., 83, of Union City died Sept. 13, 2008, at Union City Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services were set for 10 a.m. today at East View Cemetery, with the Rev. James Kinsey officiating.
White-Ranson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were to be Don Thornton, James Matheny, Connie Comstock, Larry Edmundson and James Elam.
He was born Dec. 14, 1924, son of the late Molley (Lambert) and Burley Haddock Sr. He married the former Mary Louise Vaught July 18, 1947. She died Nov. 29, 1986.
He had been employed for 40 years at the former Brown Shoe Co. and had been a member of the city council of Union City. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in World War II. A Baptist, he was a member of Jones-Walker Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4862 and Loyal Order of Moose.
He is survived by his son, Terry Haddock of San Antonio.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Earl Haddock.
