The Messenger. 09.05.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for Sebren Smith Hall, 87, of Union City, who died Sept. 3, 2008, at Union City Manor Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jimmy Calhoun officiating and the Rev. Jerry Leggett assisting. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon-2 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Shane Walters, Hank Walters, Jeff Owen, Rickey Devasier, Henry Walters and C.T. Hill. The family requests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. He was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Gibson County, son of the late C.W. and Pearl (Loggins) Hall. He married the former Martha Osborne Aug. 12, 1939. She survives. He had been employed at the former McAdoo Builders Supply for 30 years as a salesman and was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was a lifetime member of Union City Masonic Lodge No. 538 F&AM and was a 45-year member of Al Chymia Shrine. He was also a member of Union City Cumberland Presbyterian Church for more than 75 years. Survivors also include his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Henry Walters of Munford; his brother, Harry Hall of Milan; two grandchildren, Shane Walters and Hank Walters, both of Munford; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Walters and Wyatt Walters, both of Munford; and several nieces and nephews.
