Miss Maness, Nelson to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Lacy Marie Maness and Graham Martin Nelson, both of Huntsville, Ala., are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anthony Maness of Union City. Her grandparents are William Thomas Harrison, the late Melba (Pitzer) Harrision, Martha (Lane) Maness and the late Charles Ernest Maness, all of Union City. She is a 2001 graduate of Union City High School. She graduated in 2005 from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in legal studies. She is a member of Chi Omega sorority and is employed as a physician staffing coordinator for D&Y Staffing. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Martin Nelson of Brentwood. His grandparents are the late Dr. and Mrs. Homer MacGee Pace Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Martin Nelson, all of Nashville. He is a 2001 graduate of Brentwood Academy. He graduated in 2005 from UTK, where he received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He obtained a master of science degree in engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is employed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration as an engineer in the Solid Rocket Booster Thermal Analysis division. The couple will wed at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at Union City First United Methodist Church. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Hampton Centré in Union City.
