Kennedy’s ‘Pop’ ace
is of rarest variety
Holes in one are certainly rare, but Jason Kennedy’s ace was of the even rarer variety.
While playing Poplar Meadows Country Club Thursday afternoon, he and his father, Larry Kennedy, arrived at the 285-yard par-4 fourth hole.
After each man hit his drive toward the green, they went to search for the balls.
While locating Larry’s was not hard, Jason’s proved to be more difficult to find.
After looking in the front bunker and then on the sides and behind the green, they decided to see if the unthinkable had happened.
Sure enough, it had. The ball was lying in the bottom of the hole.
His hole in one on the par-4 had given him the rare double-eagle.
