Robert Joseph “Bob” Gammons, 62, of Troy died Aug. 16, 2008, at his home.
Services were set for 3 p.m. today at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with the Rev. Bobby Barnett officiating. Burial was to follow in Troy’s Mount Ararat Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Eddie Land, Tim Land, Andrian Wright, Cody Dean, Sean Tucker, Dillon Mathis, Ashton Eddlemon and Josh Eaves.
He was born May 21, 1947, in Troy, son of Annie Kathryn (Klutts) Gammons of Troy and the late Henry Edward “Ed” Gammons. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Graves Chapel Church of God near Troy.
Survivors also include two brothers, James Edward Gammons of Lake St. Louis, Mo., and Jeff Gammons of Troy; four sisters, Wanda Joyce King of Union City and Pat Dean, Margo Wright and Ellie Mathis, all of Troy; and 17 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Mickey Gammons; and his sister, Annette Tucker.
