Decatur Cook, 77, of Estill Springs, formerly of Obion County, died Aug. 13, 2008, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with burial following in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
The Rev. James Darnell will officiate and pallbearers will be Randell Cook, Wendell Cook, Decatur Cook Jr., Alton Steele, Brant Clark and Christopher Cook.
Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Gideons.
He was born April 8, 1931, in Baldwin, Miss., son of the late Johnny and Mattie Lou (Blasingame) Cook. He was the widower of Annie Bell Cook, who died Nov. 17, 2001.
He was an electrician and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include three daughters and his son-in-law, Karon Steele of Estill Springs, Sharon and Galen Clark of Hendersonville and Rita Jackson of Sparta; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randell and Joan Cook of Cottontown, Wendell Cook of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Decatur and Joyce Cook of Reserve, La.; seven grandchildren, Alton Steele, Brant Clark, Michelle Stergulz, Danielle Cook, Tara Jackson, Kelly Jackson and Christopher Cook; a step-granddaughter, Rebecca Perkins; four great-grandchildren, Haley Steele, Galen Brant Clark, Riley Stergulz and Parker Stergulz; a step-great-grandson, Kevin Stewart; his sister, Easter Owens of Union City; and three brothers, Robert Cook of Hinesville, Ga., Ernest Cook of Dresden and Johnny Cook of Union City.
