MOST ACTIVE — During the 2007-08 school year, 4-Hers in grades 4-6 competed in the following contests: poster, public speaking, decoration, picture, healthy snack, T-shirt design, art and model building. Each time a student submitted an entry in one of these contests, he or she earned points for his or her homeroom class. At the end of the year, those points were tallied and the class from each school with the most points won a pizza party. Domino’s Pizza of Union City and South Fulton support the Obion County 4-H program by donating pizzas as prizes for the classes which have accumulated the most points. Hillcrest Elementary earned the most points in the county with a total of 1,636. South Fulton earned 1,491 points. Lake Road earned 1,435 points. Black Oak earned 1,181 points. Ridgemont earned 1,142 points. 4-Hers from Josh Nance’s fourth-grade class at Ridgemont Elementary were (front row, from left) Jonathan Pool, Trista Cloar, Marielena Acevedo, Ivy Keller, (second row) Miller Coleman, Jack Moore, Laura Silva, Juan Mendez, Brandon Pugh, Samantha Davis, (third row) Jesse Tidwell, Brett Gutgsell, Sam Howard, Noah Cooper, Tyler Hackett, Macey Beeler, Daniel Acevedo, Jacob Crawford and Eduardo Ramirez.
