Memphis Bioworks Foundation and BioDimensions will be hosting a meeting Aug. 12 at the Dyer County Extension Office in Dyersburg from 8:30-11:30 a.m. aimed at providing information about a new network called the 25Farmer Network that focuses on alternative crops and value added processing opportunities for farmers in West Tennessee. This process will position West Tennessee farmers to create better linkages with companies producing biobased products and biofuels. The 25Farmer Network will assist West Tennessee farmers to understand, create and implement new strategies to compete and commercialize renewable agricultural products. The meeting is open to the public and offered at no charge to the participants. For more information concerning the meeting or the 25Farmer Network, call Hillary Spain at (901) 448-1724 or e-mail her at hspain@biodimensions.net. Published in The Messenger 8.5.08
