Miss Forsyth, Shaw to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Anna Meredith Forsyth and Justin Micah Shaw, both of Union City, are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Tom and Marsha Forsyth of Humboldt. She is the granddaughter of Catherine Forsyth and the late Lewis Forsyth and the late Neal and Rachel Ballentine, all of Humboldt. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a master’s degree in nursing and plans to complete a pediatric nurse practitioner program in August from Vanderbilt University. She is employed as a pediatric nurse at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The groom-elect is the son of James and Lana Shaw of Martin. He is the grandson of the late John Mitchell and Sue Shaw and the late Willard and Hazel Blassingame, all of Gleason. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is an insurance agent with Shelter Insurance Companies in Union City. The couple will wed at 10 a.m. in a private outdoor ceremony at Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton, Colo., Sept. 14.
