Pirates, O’boro up
in KIT semifinals

Tradewater and Owensboro each took one-game leads in their respective best-of-three Kitty League Postseason Tournament series Tuesday night.
The regular season champion Pirates whipped Marion 11-1, while O’boro surprised league runnerup Fulton 5-3 to move within one more victory of a berth in the championship series that is set to begin Friday.
The Oilers scored four times in the seventh and rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to put Fulton in a series hole.
The Railroaders were limited to just six hits in the contest and didn’t score after the third inning. J.D. Ashbrook did have a two-run homer in the second for Fulton.
Both series resume to-night with Marion and the Railroaders serving as the host teams.
