Murray State names dean’t list

wcp 7-29 According to records submitted by the registrar’s office, a total of 1,672 undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students at Murray State University have earned recognition for their scholastic achievement and been named to the dean’s list. Students must achieve a grade point average ranging from 3.5 to a perfect 4.0 to be eligible for dean’s list status. This report only applies to credits earned during the spring 2008 semester. Established in 1922, Murray State University has become known through the years as a student-centered university where the emphasis is on academic excellence. For the past 17 years, Murray State has consistently been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top public universities in the nation for its quality, affordability and efficiency in education. Lashunta Jernigan, Amanda Needham*, Jessica Parsley and Phillip Robinson, all of Weakley County, achieved dean’s list status for the spring 2008 semester. Those with a perfect 4.0 scholastic average are noted with an asterisk.
