(Las Vegas, NV) The high-powered duo Locash Cowboys are scheduled to perform live in Las Vegas, Nevada on Friday, July 25 at 5pm PT for the 2008 State Farm USA Basketball Challenge at Thomas & Mack Arena. Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of Locash Cowboys are performing their original song titled “Boom-Boom” during the half-time performance of the game. Locash has added a little Vegas flare with 8 Wrangler outfitted Locash cowgirls to perform beside them during the performance. “I’m ecstatic that Locash is going to do the half-time show for us,” said MaryAnn Beaman, Director of events programming at Las Vegas Events. “We were looking for high-energy entertainment and these guys fit the bill.” The USA National Team and the Canadian National Team will face off for the only Olympic exhibition game on U.S. soil. The game is the only domestic game played by the USA team and will give fans the chance to see an exclusive preview of the best USA players before they head off to face the world. The game will be aired on ESPN and the NBA channel as well as syndicated television world wide. “It’s a rare honor for Locash to be the country music representatives performing at half-time for the USA NBA Olympic Team exhibition against Canada at the sold out Thomas & Mack Arena in Las Vegas,” said Tony Conway, President of Buddy Lee Attractions. “We can’t think of a better way for Locash to show their support for all Olympic athletes, and, at the same time perform their original song “Boom-Boom” for the country music fans.” The band plays over 200 shows a year and Chris and Preston are skilled choreographers and dancers. They know how to put on a show and are excellent at entertaining a crowd. With their honed-craft, the only direction to go is up. “The USA basketball Olympic Team, Locash Cowboys and Las Vegas Events are a great combination,” states MaryAnn Beaman.
