Dyersburg Community Concerts announces show schedule

The Dyersburg Area Community Concert Association membership drive is ongoing as it prepares for the 2008-09 DACCA performance season. Events scheduled include the following performances: • The UTM Steel Drum Band, Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. • The Three Irish Tenors, Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. • Ohio Brass (Quintet), March 3 at 7:30 p.m. • Bye, Bye Birdie, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. A membership in the DACCA ensures the opportunity to attend performances of reciprocal concerts in Union City, as well. Performances in Union City, most of which will be held at the Civic Auditorium, include: • Frank D’Ambrosio, Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. It is known as the longest running phantom in “Phantom of the Opera.” • The David Johnson Chorus and the UTM University Singers, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. • Dukes of Dixieland, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m. • Tennessee Men’s Chorale, April 22 at 7:30. It will be held at First Baptist Church in Union City. • Jackson Symphony, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. The cost for membership in the Dyersburg Area Community Concert Association ranges from $10 for a student membership to $1,000 for Guarantor. Residents who hold memberships in the Community Concert Association of Union City/Obion County, will also be able to attend the Dyersburg shows at no extra charge.
