The Messenger. 07.24.08 The Messenger. 07.24.08 Assembly to convene The general assembly of the Anointed Church of the Living God opens this evening at 7 at the local church at 122 South Miles Ave. in Union City. The theme for the annual meeting will be “What Kind of Church Is This?” based on the first three chapters of Revelation. Bishop Michael Carr of Fulton will be the speaker this evening. On Friday, Elder Larethia Matheny and Stephanie Marshall of Union City and Reba McAfee of Fulton will be in charge of the service at 7. Saturday’s noon service will feature Elder Guscillia Johnson of Owensboro, Ky., and Bishop Jennifer Carney of Central City, Ky. The 7 p.m. Saturday service will be led by Bishop Rachel Carr of Fulton. Bishop Barbara Bolden, pastor of the local congregation, will speak at the 11 a.m. service Sunday on the seventh church letter from the book of Revelation. The community is invited to attend.
