The Messenger. 07.21.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for David Earl Turner, 44, of Union City, who died July 16, 2008, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Services were set for 2:30 p.m. today at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Union City, with the Rev. A.E. McCadney officiating. Interment was to follow in East View Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be Darron Daniels, Steven Pierce, Thomas Nettles, Anthony Chambers, Tony Sanders and Paul Hodges. Honorary pallbearers were to be Fredrick Brown and James Milligan. Rawls Funeral Home in Union City was in charge of arrangements. He was born Jan. 10, 1964, in Union City, son of Shirley Roberson of Union City and the late E.Z. Cooper. He attended Union City schools and CDS in Martin. Survivors also include four sisters, Cynthia (Turner) Bishop and Gwendolyn Dysart, both of Union City, and Linda Guy and Brenda Cooper, both of East St. Louis, Ill.; three brothers, Gary Turner, Earnest Daniels and James Davis, all of Union City; two uncles and aunts, Charlie Turner Jr. and Jannie Turner and Thomas and Vonetta Turner, all of Union City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Turner, Thomas Turner Jr. and Jerry Cooper; his grandmother, Earsie Roberson; and his sister, Jacqueline Wall.
