Miss Bransford, Andrews to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Valerie Irene Bransford of Murray, Ky., and Jeremy Jake Andrews of Franklin are being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Leon Bransford of Union City. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warren Mitchell of Union City and Thora Bransford and the late Samuel Leon Bransford of Cayce, Ky. She is a 1997 graduate of Union City High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in interior design, graduating cum laude in 2001 from Murray State University in Kentucky. She plans to graduate in May 2009 from Murray State University with a master’s degree in “management of technology.” She is the owner of Bransford Kitchen and Bath in Murray. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jamey Lynn Andrews of Union City. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hamblen Jr. and Rebecca Irene Andrews and the late James H. Andrews, all of Union City. He is a 1996 graduate of UCHS and earned a bachelor of arts in fine arts, graduating cum laude in 2000 from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson. He is a subcontractor specializing in cabinetry. The couple will wed at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church near Union City. A reception will follow at the church.
