Pam Dame seeking OC School Board post
Pam Dame has formally announced her candidacy for the Obion County School Board. Ms. Dame is running for the District One representative position to represent South Fulton. She is a life-long resident of South Fulton and graduated from South Fulton High School. Her children, Brad Dame and Craig Dame, are also graduates of South Fulton High School. Ms. Dame said she feels she is very qualified for the school board position. She has a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, a bachelor of science degree in secondary English and history, and a master’s degree in education. She retired three years ago after 32 years of teaching in the Obion County School System, with 29 of those years spent teaching first grade at South Fulton Elementary School. She is employed as the manager of the Willingham Center in Fulton and serves as the children’s director of First United Methodist Church in Fulton. Because she has spent much of her life in the area of education, Ms. Dame said she is very interested in the education of Obion County’s children. She has asked that voters exercise their right to vote on Aug. 7. Published in The Messenger 7.16.08
