The Messenger. 07.14.08 A Union City police officer had to utilize his taser during an arrest at Shenanigans on Saturday. According to a report at the department, two officers were performing a bar check at the Union City business when one recognized a patron who had possible warrants against him. When a warrant for domestic assault was confirmed, police approached Kevin Brooks Faulkner, 36, of 567 North Church St., Rives, and attempted to arrest him. Faulkner resisted the arrest and was warned two or three times that he was going to be tasered. When he continued to resist, the taser was utilized. During a search after his arrest, police found a bottle containing what field-tested positive for meth. He was charged with possession of Schedule II meth and resisting arrest/official detention.
