Multiple charges for Sidonia woman
A Sidonia woman was arrested this past weekend on charges that she injured a child while driving drunk. Rebecca Tinsley, 29, was arrested on charges of vehicular assault, D.U.I. and violation of the implied consent law. According to an affadavit filed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Tinsley crashed on Highway 89 in Sharon. When officers arrived to the scene, Trooper Chris Johnson reported that Tinsley refused to take a sobriety tesst or a blood alcohol test. The report further stated that a “child” passenger was injured in the crash and was pinned under the overturned vehicle. The report did not report the relationship between Tinsley and the injured child, who was treated and released from Volunteer General Hospital in Martin. Tinsley was arraigned Monday in Weakley County General Sessions Court. Weakley County General Sessions Judge Tommy Moore placed Tinsley a $5,000 dollars bond.
