Senior Friends of Cobb’s Chapel United Methodist Church will meet at Autry’s Country Kitchen, located in Troy, Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. The last meeting was held at Autry’s, where good food and fellowship were enjoyed. Those attending included the Rev. Jimmy Calhoun, who gave thanks for the meal, and his wife, Pat, who spoke to the group about their last trip to the Holy Land. Others attending were Betty Prather, Faye Howard, Aaron Smith, Peggy Woody, Ilar and Mattie Lou Moran, Clem Revis, Kensen and Estelle Williams, Pat Killion, Mary Jane Clark, Maudie Byrd, Alma Marshall, Doris Parks, Ray Ball, Thelma Calhoun, Mary McKinnis, Bur-nie and Thelma Davis, Junior and Betty Davis, Hubert and Ginny Smithson, Bonnie Morris, Joan Howard, Hayden Quillions, Wendell Gray, Norval and Virginia Cranford and J.C. and Mary Nichols. Mrs. Moran presented a reading to the group. The Cranfords brought cake to celebrate a number of special occasions — the Cranfords’ first wedding anniversary, the Nichols’ 58th anniversary and Calhoun’s retirement from the ministry after 50 years of service.
