Miss Rudolph, Dowdy to wed

The engagement and forthcoming marriage of Tara Lee Rudolph of Fulton and Joseph Trent Dowdy of South Fulton is being announced today. The bride-elect is the daughter of Terry and Jennie Rudolph of Fulton. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Ramona Moon of Fulton and Verma Rudolph and the late Martin Rudolph of Paducah, Ky. She is a 2003 graduate of Graves County (Ky.) High School and a 2007 cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she studied natural resource management. She is employed with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge as an education and volunteer coordinator. The groom-elect is the son of Joe and Janet Dowdy of South Fulton. His grandparents are Sherrill Reams and the late Tommy Reams of South Fulton and the late Eugene and Naomi Dowdy of Mayfield, Ky. He is a 2003 graduate of South Fulton High School. He graduated in 2008 from UTM, where he majored in ag, plant and soil science. He is employed with Reams Farms, a family-owned farming operation, which was started by his grandfather, Tommy Reams. The couple will exchange vows at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at the home of Charlie and Deanna Reams, located at 9474 Fields Road off Country Club Road. Music will begin at 7. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place at South Fulton First United Methodist Church. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at the Fulton Country Club on the corner of State Line and Country Club roads. No invitations will be sent.
