Maxine Workman, 83, of Palmersville, died Saturday, July 28, 2008 at Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden. Services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden, with Steve Boone and Bob Bennett officiating. Burial was in Unity Cemetery near Dresden. Ray Workman, Larry Moubray, Larry Levister, Junior Harris, Bill Nanney, Bert Estes and Chris Nobles served as pallbearers. Mrs. Workman was born in Weakley County, daughter of the late James H. and Lula Nanney Woodruff. She was the widow of J. W. Workman, a retired seamstress for Kellwood Manufacturing and a member of Union Chapel Church of Christ in Palmersville. Survivors include one daughter, Susie (Lee) Bennett of Palmersville; one granddaughter, Tina (Chris) Nobles of Palmersville; two great-grandchildren, April Nobles and Christina Nobles, and soon to arrive great-grandchild Jamie Nobles, all of Palmersville. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buford Woodruff and Junior Woodruff.
