Florence Horner

The Messenger. 07.07.08 Florence Nell Horner, 80, of Kenton died July 3, 2008, in Kenton. Services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton, with burial following in Tansil Cemetery in Sharon. She was born May 4, 1928, daughter of the late Sam and Mary Vinson, and was a retired waitress and member of Laneview Baptist Church near Kenton. She is survived by four daughters, Monette Vaughn, Betty Maxwell, Lorrie Vaughn and Evelyn Merrell; two sons, Barry Mandrell and Jamie Mandrell; her sister; and 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Horner; and her son, Dale Mandrell.
