Austin Peay State University and Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) are holding a two-day lake retreat and workshop for teachers and non-formal educators of grades K-12 from Monday at 10 a.m. through Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Paris Landing State Park Inn.
The cost is $10, which covers lodging, food, activities and a pontoon ride on Kentucky Lake, but space is very limited. Organizers said this is a great opportunity for educators and teachers because it provides certification and curriculums that follow along with state standards. There will be indoor and outdoor settings.
Project WET, Project Learning Tree, Project Webfoot Educators Kit with WOW! The Wonders of Wetlands, Flying Wild-Birds and Ducks Unlimited will all be lending a hand.
For reservations and more information, contact Michelle Rogers by e-mail at email@example.com or Kathey Dewein at firstname.lastname@example.org; call (931) 221-6480; or visit the Web site www.apsu.edu/wet.
