The Messenger. 06.27.08 Buford D. Huey, 88, of Livonia, Mich., a former resident of Obion County, died June 25, 2008, at a hospital in Livonia. Funeral services were Thursday at Griffin Funeral Home in Westland, Michigan. Burial was in Cadillac Gardens in Detroit. He was born April 29, 1920, in Obion County, son of the late Dewey and Gladys (Huffstutter) Huey. He was the widower of Linda Lee (McFarland) Huey, to whom he was married for 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served his country in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany. Survivors include his son, Allen Huey of Livonia; his daughter, Lynda Morrisey of Livonia; three granddaughters, Kelley Morrisey, Jennifer Morrisey and Katie Morrisey, all of Livonia; his grandson, Lt. Michael Morrisey, who is stationed with the armed forces; two brothers, A.K. Huey of Highlands, Calif., and William Daniel Huey of Plymouth, Mich.; his sister, Wilma (Huey) Spacht of Orlando, Fla.; and several other relatives in this area. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Jane (Huey) Watkins; and his brother, R.D. Huey Jr.
