The Messenger. 06.27.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for Bobby Glen Hopper, 69, of Union City, who died June 25, 2008, at his home. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Revs. J.T. Brown and Dewayne Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Tansil Cemetery near Sharon. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 this evening. Pallbearers will be Waylon Matheny, Randy Heathcock, Stacy Owensby, Hank Curvin, John Wright and the Rev. Danny Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the Revs. George Hutchison and Bobby Peal and Bobby Hutchison, Steve Alexander, Harold Willis and Johnny McTurner. He was born Feb. 21, 1939, in Lake County, son of the late Jessie and Leona (Wallace) Hopper. He married the former Brenda Prince Dec. 27, 1980. She survives. He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City and was a licensed minister for the International Assembly of God. He was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God near Union City. Survivors also include his son, Tim Hopper of Fulton; two daughters, Bobbie Curvin of Tiptonville and Tammy Owensby of Martin; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Gene Hopper of Ridgely; and several nieces and nephews.
