CARMANS TO CELEBRATE — Mr. and Mrs. Howard Carman will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a dinner hosted by their children and later, in the fall, they will enjoy a 12-day Mediterranean cruise. He married the former Beverly Cotham June 28, 1958, at First United Methodist Church in Union City. After a short honeymoon to the Gulf Coast, they moved to Memphis, where they have made their home for the past 50 years. She is the daughter of the late Ernest and Evelyn (Caudle) Cotham of Union City and is retired from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. He is the son of the late Millard and Mary (Kersey) Carman of Union City and is a retired staff engineer with UT who still does consulting work on the systems level. They have one son and daughter-in-law, Howard Carman Jr. and Karen Carman of Kingsport; one daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Dave Hogue of Germantown; and two grandsons.
