The Messenger. 06.23.08 Myrtle Lee Williams, 90, of Newbern, mother of Faye Hutchison of Union City, died June 19, 2008, at Union City Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Center Cemetery in Newbern, with the Rev. Rick Burton officiating. Pallbearers were Donald Ray Hinson, Gene Hinson, Rex Thomason, John Lucas, Jay Williams, Tim Williams, Charlie Peevyhouse and Jim Isbell. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern was in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Hickman County, daughter of the late Clarence and Plinnie M. (Halbrooks) Hinson. She was the widow of Charles R. Williams and was a homemaker. Survivors also include her son-in-law, Bill Hutchison of Union City; three grandchildren, Michele Bell, Stacey Richardson and Regina Kay Ashley; and six great-grandchildren, Jake Bell, Jillian Bell, Bryce Richardson, Christopher Carter, Kelsey Richardson and Kaitlain Richardson. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert Williams Jr.; four sisters, Kate Isbell, Irene Hinson, Olar Peevyhouse and Hooper Thomason; and two brothers, Buster Hinson and Edward Hinson.
