Fulton meeting set

The Messenger. 06.23.08 Fulton City Commission will meet in regular session today at 5 p.m. in the commission room at Fulton City Hall. In addition to routine monthly business, items on the agenda for consideration include authorizing the city manager to repair a 1982 Case backhoe; accepting Daniel Woodruff’s resignation as code enforcement officer; hiring a code enforcement officer; considering a request to close Pearl Street Extended and the alleyway; the reading of a resolution for a FEMA grant for work on Wells Avenue and Cleveland Street; second reading of a city ordinance amending an ordinance to make appropriations for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2008, to reflect actual expenditures; second reading of a city ordinance to increase water and sewer rates 5 percent across the board; and second reading of a city ordinance for the 2008-09 city budget. The meeting is open to the public. The commission will adjourn into a closed executive session to discuss personnel and pending litigation in compliance with KRS 61.810.
