Sterling and Loretta Peery celebrate 50th anniversary

The children of Sterling and Loretta Peery are proud to announce their parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. The Peerys were married on July 2, 1958, at Gearin’s Chapel Baptist Church, with Alton Peery officiating the ceremony. The couple went to Gatlinburg for their honeymoon. Sterling and Loretta Peery are the former owners of Greenfield Insurance Agency and are now enjoying retirement. They are Baptist by faith, and Sterling has served in the music department at Bethel and Moore’s Chapel and is currently serving at Alamo Baptist near Rives. They have three children. Sharon Shihady and husband, George, reside in Dresden. Starla Roberson and husband, Doug, reside in Paris. Troy Peery resides in Greenfield. The Peerys have four grandchildren, Brandon Stephenson, Beth Stephenson, Landon Roberson and Caris Roberson. The children and family members will be celebrating the special occasion at Paris Landing Inn and will be making a family portrait as an anniversary gift.
