The Messenger. 06.11.08 Saturday will be the first work day for a new Habitat for Humanity home being built at 718 Lilac St. in Union City. The build is being sponsored by Union City First United Methodist Church and volunteers are needed each Saturday. Breakfast and lunch will be furnished for workers at the site this Saturday. Work will include erecting the frame and “go-fors” are also needed, a spokesman said. Those who have tools that might be useful are encouraged to bring them, a spokesman said. Work will begin at 8 a.m., but volunteers may come at any time and work as long as they are able.
