The Messenger. 06.10.08 Completed arrangements are being announced for Jeffery Dale “Jeff” Damons, 51, of Union City. He died 2 p.m. June 8, 2008, at his home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Dilday Funeral Home in Union City, with the Rev. Gary Williams officiating. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Andrew McCartney, Eric Storye, Ben Walsh, Jason Lane, Patrick Hall and Chance Kirk. He was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Fulton, the son of Sammie (Mills) Damons of South Fulton and the late W.C. Damons. He married the former Lori High Jan. 23, 1982. She survives. He had been employed in the shipping department at Kohler in Union City for 28 years and was a member of Union City First Baptist Church. He had served in the U.S. Army. Survivors also include two sons, Josh Damons and Matthew Damons, both of Union City; three brothers, Michael Damons and Randy Damons, both of South Fulton, and Joe Damons of Dickson; and his sister, Stacie Adams of Pilot Oak, Ky. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Victor Damons.
