TBI adds Dyer County suspect to Top 10 most wanted fugitives

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a Dyer County teenager to its list of Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives after he was charged with first-degree murder for a shooting that occurred May 4. Keaston Danterrian Tipton, 17, of 919 Custer Ave., Dyersburg, is wanted for allegedly firing several rounds from a handgun into Room 54 at the Sunrise Inn, located at 1170 Highway 51 Bypass in Dyersburg, and killing Karl Franklin. Tipton is described as a black male with brown eyes and black hair. He is 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has tattoos on both arms, one of which reads “Boss” and the other of which reads “Man.” Tipton should be approached with caution, according to the TBI. Anyone with information as to Tipton’s whereabouts is asked to contact the TBI toll-free at 1-800-TBI-FIND. There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to his capture.
