Fulton meeting set
The Messenger. 06.06.08 Fulton City Commission will meet in regular session Monday at 5 p.m. in the commission room at Fulton City Hall. In addition to routine monthly business, the agenda includes considering the transfer of Jane Hulin-Zickefoose from the fire department to the police department as a dispatcher, pending POPS certification; accepting Lee Johnson’s resignation from the Twin City Ambulance Board and appointing June Klein to the Twin City Ambulance Board; accepting Gary Walker’s resignation from the fire department; hiring Patrick Tarver as a firefighter/emergency medical technician; authorizing the city manager to accept sealed bids on the Wells Avenue project; authorizing the city attorney to place liens on three demolition properties; authorizing the city manager to repair a 1982 Case backhoe; considering a request from Judy Milner, director of senior citizens, for repair on an air conditioner unit; considering a request from Joe Glasgow pertaining to utility deposits and stand-by meter charges; considering a request from Michael Gunn to close Pearl Street Extended and Alleyway; discussion on future fuel purchases for city vehicles; the first reading of an ordinance amending a city ordinance making appropriations for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2007, and ending June 30, 2008, to reflect actual expenditures; the first reading of a city ordinance to increase water and sewer rates 5 percent across the board; and first reading of a city ordinance for the 2008-09 city budget. The meeting is open to the public. The commission will adjourn into a closed executive session to discuss personnel and pending litigation.
