Youth Fishing Rodeo To Be Hosted By Refuge
With National Fishing and Boating Week running through June 8, Reelfoot National Wildlife Refuge will host its 18th Annual Youth Fishing Rodeo on Saturday. The fishing rodeo will be held at ponds near the refuge headquarters at Walnut Log on Highway 157, one mile off of Highway 22 and is open to kids 12 years of age and young. Registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. with fishing set to begin at 8 a.m. and lasting until noon. Only live bait will be allowed. Hundreds of door prizes donated by local sponsors will be given away during the rodeo. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided free while they last.
