Stolen car found
The Messenger. 06.03.08 A Georgia man and a juvenile have been charged in connection with a stolen car recovered Sunday in Fulton. Johnaaron B. Jones, 18, of 1157 Grant Lane, Loganville, Ga., has been charged with no operator’s license and receiving stolen property over $300, according to a press release from the Fulton Police Department. A juvenile girl, whose name and age have not been disclosed by police, was also charged with receiving stolen property over $300. About 2:18 a.m. Sunday, Fulton police officers were advised that a stolen vehicle occupied by two subjects was located in the area of the city’s Carr Plaza. Officers searched the area and located a vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle on the parking lot of Hunter’s One Stop, Fulton Assistant Police Chief and public information officer Jere Hughes said. Upon checking the vehicle information, officers confirmed that the vehicle was listed as stolen from Georgia. The vehicle was occupied by an adult man and a juvenile girl. The vehicle operator, identified as Jones, did not have an operator’s license. In addition, officers located a hose in the vehicle and one of the subjects admitted to having the intent to steal gas for the stolen vehicle, according to Hughes. The stolen vehicle, a maroon four-door 1999 Saturn, was taken to the Fulton Police Department to await recovery by its owner.
