The sunset wedding was officiated by Bro. Brad Brewer, longtime friend of the bride. The bride’s attendants were Amy Hall Hodge, Lindsey Brewer, Bethany Chandler and Elizabeth Self. They wore chocolate- and truffle-colored gowns and each carried a rose with wheat tied together with ribbon the color of the rose — chocolate, orange, yellow or red. The flower girl was Reiley Duncan, niece of the groom, of Ripley, Miss. She wore a white and chocolate-colored gown and carried a natural finish wooden container that held assorted color rose petals. The ring bearer was Branson Powell, cousin of the bride, of Fort Worth, Texas. Ushers were Glen Hall and J.J. Hodge. Brian Chandler was in charge of the music. The couple’s grandparents are Maggie Hall, Violet Harding, Ruby Hartford and Ruddy and Ruth DeCanter. Groomsmen were Shane Duncan, Justin Turner, Nick McClain and Jed Hood. The bride’s gown was gold satin and organza with lace panels around the bodice, the hem and the long train. The bride wore pearls belonging to her late great-grandmother. A short veil and tiara completed her attire. Her bouquet was an arrangement of chocolate, yellow, orange, red and green roses with wheat as filler. Following the ceremony a buffet meal was held next door at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Maggie Hall. Round tables were covered with long cream-colored tablecloths, with centerpieces of lanterns decorated with roses and chocolate ribbons. The buffet table held a large crystal vase filled with roses and wheat. Serving at the buffet table were cousins Sherry and Linda Smith, Linda Broom and Brenda Hall. The bride’s table held a five-tiered cupcake tree and a keepsake cake with a willow tree cake topper and an assortment of roses and wheat. The groom’s table held a dark chocolate cake with bowls of strawberries and chocolate-dipped strawberries and pictures of the groom playing drums through the years. Heather Davis and Christy Garber helped with the register and directed the wedding. Rehearsal dinner Following the wedding rehearsal, Doug and Nancy Britt and Christy and Shane Duncan entertained the wedding party with a barbecue with all the trimmings at New Home Church. The tables were decorated in chocolate and cream colors. The attendants were presented with Easter baskets filled with gifts. The couple now makes their home in Cordova. They will have a delayed wedding trip to Mackinaw Island, Mich., in June.
