The Messenger. 05.30.08 Hazel Headden, 92, of Union City died May 28, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery in Trimble. Friends may call at Leitherland Funeral Home in Rutherford 6-9 this evening and at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday. She was born Feb. 2, 1916, daughter of the late Laddie and Ethel (Willis) Sturdivant. She was the widow of Maury Headden and was a retired caterer who had made her home in Yorkville for many years. She was a graduate of the former Kenton High School and was a member of North Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Vernell Sturdivant of Mason Hall; her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Edward Wilson of Deatsville, Ala.; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Sherry Headden of Union City and Billy and Gayle Headden of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Cindy Gibson of Union City and Elaine Kloos of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; four grandsons, Troy Headden of Lewisburg, Neil Headden and Marc Headden, both of Franklin, and Eddie Wilson of Deatsville; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two nephews.
