The Messenger. 05.28.08 Union City police are investigating the theft of a trailer full of detergent from a local convenience store’s lot. Police were summoned Tuesday to Food Plaza on West Reelfoot Avenue, where Danny Brinkley told police he had dropped a 53-foot Rudolph Transportation trailer on the lot at 2:30 p.m. Friday and discovered it missing at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Union City Police Department report. Brinkley told police he last saw the trailer at 10 a.m. Sunday. The trailer is valued at $19,000 and was loaded with 41,502 pounds of washing powder, which is valued at $50,000, according to the report. The trailer is white colored and bears Kentucky tag 30981T, police reported.
